We are a team of creative scientists and engineers exploring new ways to develop applications of graphene and other 2D materials.
Team leader A/Prof Rakesh Joshi is leading 6 industry-sponsored research projects on developing graphene-based products for industrial applications with over ~2.0 million of industry funding as Principal investigator (Lead Chief Investigator). Our research is and also supported by ARC funding.
We have multiple lab-scale membrane fabrication and testing facilities and industrial-scale membrane fabrication facilities.

*Rakesh Joshi FRSC is an Associate Professor and
Theme Leader Energy & Environment at the
Materials Science and Engineering School of UNSW Sydney. Before joining UNSW as a Lecturer (Academic Staff) in 2015, Rakesh was a Marie Curie International Fellow with Nobel Laureate Sir Andre Geim at the University of Manchester. He has a PhD in Semiconductor Nanotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India.
Rakesh Joshi has supervised over 20 Research Students (10 PhDs and 10 master's by research) as Main Supervisor at UNSW.
